Anika James Scholarship

Purpose: The main purpose of this scholarship is to promote educational opportunities for students of color by providing them with a scholarship of $3,000. It was established to honor the life of Anika James, who was a loving, radiant and talented sophomore at Jordan High School in Durham, NC when she left this world in 2006. Criteria: Must be attending College (freshmen including high school seniors accepted to college; sophomores; or juniors).
Must be seeking to give back to the community (with current and future plans for community service).

Must demonstrate financial needs. Must be a person of color.

There are flyers posted around the school with application information. Students in need of an application please contact Ms. Settle. Applications are due to Ms. Settle by February 4.
