Congratulations to Jamiya Borden and Taylor Borden who received the National African American Recognition Award through the College Board National Recognition Program. Jamiya and Taylor earned this honor by their outstanding academic achievements and their stellar performance on the PSAT and/or AP exams.

SCS students, staff and families: We need your help with selling concessions at Duke home football games! The SCS PTSA will receive ~10% of all sales from our stand just for volunteering our time. The money earned will go towards purchasing a new marquee sign for the school.
Staff, high school students 16 years and older, parents, and adult family friends are welcome to sign up to volunteer. NOTE: The high school minimum age of 16 is an update from what was communicated at curriculum night. We apologize for overlooking this detail with Duke’s specific age requirement and having to make this adjustment.
We still need several volunteers for the first game on Friday, September 2 from 5:30-9:30 pm. Please go to ourSignUpGenius page to sign up! We will send all instructions and credentials for volunteering home with your student the day before the game.
As an added incentive, the first period class with the most sign-ups at the conclusion of the football season will get a pizza party!
