Tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. is the deadline to complete the End-of-Year testing intention survey. Since these are state assessments, students will take these tests in person, in school, with health and safety protocols in place.
Student Survey Link – School for Creative Studies – https://forms.gle/sYSRUT4VDDLz1x94A
We need this information so we can complete our plans for testing our virtual, remote learning students. We will communicate assigned testing dates and schedule soon after the survey window closes.
High school students, remember that EOC’s count as 20% of your final grade as required by state law. EOC courses include English 2, Biology, Math I and Math III. If you do not take an EOC, it will impact your grade.

Graduates, we are in the process of organizing cap and gown pictures. We have scheduled May 7 as our Cap and Gown picture date. We have the option of personalizing yard signs for graduates and would like to use your cap and gown pictures. Also, these images may be used during the graduation ceremony that will be held at NCCU on June 2. If you have not ordered your cap and gown as of today please visit Jostens.com to order – https://tinyurl.com/xm4pjw3s
We’ll share more information soon concerning graduation guidelines and tickets. Information will also be kept updated on our SCS Graduates Canvas page as it is made available so make sure you have subscribed to that page.

In the 2021-2022 school year, Durham Public Schools families will be launching Ignite! Online Academy as a virtual school for grades K-12. Ignite! will be the virtual learning option for the 2021-2022 school year. Ignite! Online Academy will enroll students through the commitment form HERE. Ignite is an excellent option for families who are enthusiastic about online learning, are homeschooling currently, or have already made their decision to enroll in online learning for the 2021-2022 school year! Families that commit through the form would officially move their placement from their base or magnet school to Ignite for the entire 2021-2022 school year. All families who wish to receive virtual learning in the 2021-2022 school year must use the form to sign up for Ignite. Families that need more information can attend the Ignite Virtual Q&A sessions (bit.ly/learnignite) Monday, April 26th at 7pm.
