ACT Survey/Information for Juniors & Seniors–Time Sensitive

Good evening SCS Families. This is Ms. Price with an important message for our juniors and seniors.

You recently received a message from our district regarding the requirement for eligible 11th graders to take the state-sponsored ACT college readiness assessment.  This opportunity is also available for students who missed the ACT administration as an 11th grader in 2020.  Students can take this administration of the ACT free of charge.  The scores students receive on the ACT can be reported for free to up to 4 colleges or universities.

We are required to give the ACT face-to-face here at school. Our testing team is working on all of the details of our testing plan to ensure we provide the safest testing environment possible while maintaining test security.  We will require students and staff to be screened, maintain safe distances, wear masks, and keep our testing rooms and materials clean and disinfected.

All students will be provided breakfast and lunch on their test days.  The test will be given using the online format.  Students will be assigned a specific date within the 6-day testing window (February 23-25, March 2-4) to take their test.  Last week, we shared a survey link with students and families.  All students need to complete the survey so they can provide their communication preference for receiving their assigned test date and to request transportation. The survey must be completed by February 9th.

We will communicate assigned test dates starting February 10th.  We will communicate transportation information starting February 16th.  Make-up test dates will be March 16-18.  In the meantime, if you have any questions please reach out to (List contact here).

We thank you for your trust and confidence. Have a good evening.
