Good Evening SCS Families. This is Ms. Price with your Weekly Message for the week of January 4.
We’d like to welcome all students back to school to their remote learning schedules tomorrow. If you’re a bit out of practice, remember that our school remote schedule is on our school webpage and on each teacher’s Canvas page. Let’s get back in the swing of things and finish out the 2nd quarter with intention. The quarter ends January 15.
Report cards will be viewable via the PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you don’t have your Parent Portal account, we are available Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30 for you to stop by the school to pick up your Parent Portal Account information. You will need to bring your picture ID. If these hours are not convenient for you, please call the school so we can assist you with getting your Parent Portal information.
Ms. Wiggins and Ms. Shelly’s students will need the science kits for class activities soon. If you have not already picked up the 6th and 7th grade science kits, please make sure that you stop by the school to get your child’s kit.
The directions for creating a Canvas Parent Observer Account can be found at canvas.dpsnc.net. There you will find step-by-step written directions, a video explanation, Canvas Observer Guide and information for downloading the mobile app. It is important that you create an observer account because some announcements will only be sent to Parent Observers and you can see your child’s activity in Canvas.
