Prom Reminder
Attention all Juniors & Seniors! Remember that tomorrow the prom will start at 7:30 p.m. and end at 11:30 p.m. The address to the prom is 3100 Tower Blvd. right across from Sam’s Club off 15-501. If you did not pick-up your ticket, you can still go to prom. Ms. Street will have the list at the door. See you there!

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! We recognize Teacher Appreciation Week for all the dedication and work teachers put in during the school day and beyond. At SCS, we recognize all adults in our building because everyone is a teacher and contributes to teacher success. Take a moment this week to thank your teachers!

SCS Gardening Club will be held Tuesdays until 5:15 p.m. We will meet in Room 110 (Ms. Granger’s room) Lots to plan and do as we beautify our courtyard!

High school Basketball Clubs has been moved to Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:15 – 5:30 pm. Please sign up with Mr. Pantoja in order to play.
There are plenty of spots open.

This year we are happy to offer the “Price Promise” Award to graduating seniors. Seniors who meet the criteria will be recognized at our Graduation Ceremony and will receive a certificate of participation and a graduation gift from SCS. Application forms are available in the main office or from Ms. Neville.
Ms. Price reminds us that “The Learning Never Ends”. Seniors, in order to receive the “Price Promise” Award, you must meet these criteria:
1—Select an extra-curricular activity such as an internship, community service activity, mentorship or other activity that complements their academic preparation;
2—Provide documentation to Ms. Neville of your chosen activity;
3—Write a statement that describes the value of your participation in your chosen activity and how it will prepare you for life after graduation.

National Honor Society tutors to the rescue!
Honor Society students will be available to tutor in a variety of topics starting Wednesday, February 2nd, and moving forward weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays during lunch and after school in the cafeteria student lounge.

Good Evening SCS Families. This is Ms. Price with your weekly message for May 2, 2022.
COVID Update
This week SCS reported 1 positive COVID case, 3 close contacts were identified, and there were 0 class closures. Communication to families whose students were identified as close contacts has been completed. If you have not already been personally contacted, it means your student was NOT in close contact with any of the COVID-19 cases.
Teacher Appreciation Week
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and we’d like to thank our teachers for all their hard work and dedication throughout the school year and beyond. Their efforts go well beyond their normal duties and working hours. At SCS, we honor all staff during this week because we believe that every adult in our building is a teacher and plays an important role in educating our students. Thanks to our PTSA for providing all kinds of treats and support during this week and our community at large for all you do to partner with us.

Back to School Form
This is another reminder that BACK TO SCHOOL FORM so that you can register for bus transportation, confirm your contact information, and more. You can find instructions on the DPS website at DPSNC.net. Link to DPS Enrollment Page If you need an appointment, please contact Ms. Fleming. Again, this is very important to ensure that your child has bus transportation lined up for next year, in addition to other important information. Juniors and Seniors: Your Prom is almost here! We’re excited that we’ll be attending Prom Saturday night. The last day to purchase tickets is Tuesday and Guest Forms must be turned in no later than Wednesday! See Coach Barnes or Ms. Street with any questions.
If you are on Prom Court, you are allowed to promote your candidacy. Voting will be Wednesday.
