  • Retirement Message 08.12.2022

Good Afternoon SCS Families. This is Principal Price with a special update. We have had a very smooth opening to this school year and we are thankful for a strong community that supports us in creating an environment of high expectations for our students.

The purpose of this announcement is to inform you that I will be retiring. Effective August 31st, I will be departing from SCS as your principal. I have truly enjoyed my time as your principal and please know that this was not an easy decision.

While I will transition, I am leaving you in very capable hands. On September 1st Neill Ferguson will take over as your interim principal. Mr. Ferguson is a veteran educator with more than 25 years of experience. He has been an AP for 15 years, spending the past 5 years as an AP right here at SCS. Mr. Ferguson is a graduate of Shaw and North Carolina Central University. Mr. Ferguson and I will work together to ensure a smooth transition.

It has been my pleasure to serve as your principal.
